We love Alingsås and wish that our guests find their way to all our favourite spots – Welcome!

The cozy, café-town of Alingsås have kept a genuine small town feeling with its cobbled courtyards, wooden houses and boutiques. Despite the small-scale, Alingsås follows the big city trends and many boutiques are nowadays open on Sundays as well.

Not far from the city center is the beautiful Nolhaga-park located, with Nolhaga castle, a zoo for the children and lovely recreation. Close by you will find the lake Mjörn, the second biggest lake in Västergötland. Here is a port for small boats, a sports ground, camping and beach. A few kilometres from town by the lake Färgen you will find Alingsås Golfklubb, a well-managed golf club where our hotel offers attractive golf-packages.

Only about 10 km outside of town is the old station house in Anten located, where you can travel by a steam powered locomotive along a winding track with an enchanting view, all the way to the castle park of Gräfsnäs. It is well worth a visit for everyone, regardless of age.

At the hotel you can find “Alingsås Historiefåtölj” – here you can sit down in an armchair and relax, listen to the history of Alingsås and look at pictures from the past.  Read More >>
